"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" will be split into two films

After months of rumors, Warner Bros. and the producers of the massively successful movies will announce Thursday that they plan to split "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," J.K. Rowling's seventh and final "Potter" novel, into two blockbuster films -- one to be released in November 2010 and the second in May 2011.

The films will be titled, simply, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I" and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II," according to producer David Heyman.

I must say I agree with Daniel Radcliffe, the book is simply too long and too involved to have it squished into the one film. But 2010?? That's a long time to wait for the next instalment!

A more complete Deathly Hallows is a fair trade-off for having to wait a bit longer for the second (and final *sniff*) film I think

I wish they would have done it for Order of the Phoenix too.

i dont think they should make it into two films. they should combine it into one because the true harry potter fans dont mind sitting there to watch a movie of their fav book with greattheatrical detail.
